We can now report that our condo in the Pink Shell Resort, Unit # 5204, is now available for your Florida vacation on Ft. Myers Beach. Since Ian, things have really progressed on the resort property, making it even better than pre-Ian. The resort has added a hot tub, and we have just learned it is now open for use. The resort has also updated one of the pools, and that is now open as well. They have added an area for conversation around a fire "pit". Onsite are 2 restaurants, Bongos, the poolside restaurant; and Rae's Real Italian , which will be re-opening real soon. The beach has Bob's Beach Bar and in the mornings one can grab their breakfast at Jack's, the on-site breakfast bar that serves everything breakfast. These items are only some of the extras on the resort grounds. The condo unit itself has been updated. Everything is new and inviting. The updated unit has one bedroom with a King Bed and one Large Bath. The new pullout sofa sleeps 2 people and there is plenty of space for a group of 4 to dine. The kitchen is nice sized with all new appliances.
Our unit, which overlooks the Octopool, beach and the gulf, is conveniently located on the 2nd floor of the main building of the resort called White Sands. Pink Shell Resort and Marina is a resort in which individuals own each condo unit within the resort. The owners do not set the room prices or take reservations. It is run like a resort with its own advertising, management, housekeeping, maintenance, etc.. It will be several months yet for all the details to be finished at the Pink Shell Resort and Marina, but the property is already busy with many vacationers.
